A first hello that had to feel just right.
A birth announcement is one of those pieces of design that carries a lot of emotion. It is the first time the world meets someone new. The parents had a clear feeling in mind: warm, organic and timeless. Nothing too sweet or too obvious. A design that would feel personal and handcrafted without tipping into kitsch.

Solution
(02)
Warm, organic and built around a feeling.
I developed three distinct concepts for the parents to choose from. The chosen direction leaned into a modern boho aesthetic: a warm palette of sand, terracotta, broken white, mustard yellow and deep brown for the typography. Nothing harsh, nothing that fights for attention.
The composition used organic blob shapes and fluid forms with soft edges, combined with delicate line art illustrations of botanicals and abstract swirls. Small ink-drop accents added a handmade texture without overdoing it. The layout was asymmetric and airy, keeping the centre open for Isa's name and date of birth.
Typography played a key role. A fine serif paired with a flowing handwritten script for the name. The contrast between structured and painted is what gives this style its character.
Once the birth announcement was finalised, I extended the design into two additional pieces: a baby shower invitation and a small sticker card to attach to candles or other gifts. All three stayed true to the same visual language, making everything feel like a cohesive set.

Conclusion
(03)
Three pieces, one moment to remember.
Projects like this one are a reminder that good design does not need to be loud to leave an impression. The warmth was in the details: the softness of the shapes, the care in the type pairing, the way the three pieces worked together as a set. Isa's parents had something they could keep.
